Fear Camp, Saturday, October 29, 2011
This Saturday, October 29, 2011, you can face down that unfinished project that is haunting you. Join us for Fear Camp from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. You can tell your story about why this project became an object of fear. (Don't worry. There are no fact checkers. Embellished stories are positively encouraged.) You'll received Sheep's Clothing professional help to get past any technical difficulties with your project. You'll receive encouragement from your fellow campers. You'll enjoy a great lunch at Pikk's Tavern. And you'll leave with a gift certificate that can be cashed in when you complete your project.
Camp cost: $45. Register by calling 219-462-1700.
Kate Collins Book Signing November 3, 2011
Kate’s heroine, Abby Knight, owns a flower shop in downtown New Chapel, Indiana—a place surprisingly like Valparaiso. She gets tangled up in murder mysteries as fast as we can get inspired by a new ball of yarn. Her drive to find the guilty and make sure that justice is served takes her all over Northwest Indiana.
Copies of Kate’s brand spanking new book, To Catch a Leaf,
will be on hand. If you would like
to reserve a copy for Kate to sign that evening, please call and let us know at
219-462-1700.

A Tale of Two Pigs, Knitting by Kids Show, opening Oct. 20
Amanda began her youthful knitting adventure by knitting the pig on the left. Tracy, our talented staff person, knit the pig on the right. Amanda's pig helps us remember the joy we felt when we first learned to make something. Tracy's pig helps us remember that however sophisticated we become in our craft, we can still enjoy simple, clever projects.
Amanda Helmerich and her twin sister Sara have astonished us with their knitting and crochet output. We are celebrating their accomplishments with a show of their combined works, which will be on display at the shop from Saturday, October 20, through Saturday, October 27. You can meet Sara and Amanda at our opening celebration on Saturday, October 20, from 10:00 am to noon.
